Terms of Service
Short, and written to be read. If anything here is unclear, write to us and we will say it a different way.

Who you are contracting with
Swan Club is operated by Jonathan Tellerain EI, Entrepreneur individuel, registered in France (108 012 725), at 16 rue de Siam, 75116 Paris, France. You can reach us at contact@swan-club.com and we read it.
We are not established in the United Kingdom. That does not change your rights as a UK consumer: the statutory protections described on this page apply to you because you are here, whoever we are and wherever we are.
What Swan Club is, and what it is not
Swan Club is coaching, not matchmaking. We introduce no one, we promise no one, and nothing here is a claim about what will happen to you.
What you get is rooms: where they are, which night, what time, what to wear walking in, and a first sentence you can actually say. Plus a weekly ritual and, on The Circle, a journal and a mentor you can write to.
What you do not get, because nobody can honestly sell it: an introduction, a guaranteed outcome, or a promise about who you will meet. We make no claim about what will happen to you. Anyone who does is either guessing or lying, and under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 they are also committing an unfair commercial practice.
You must be 18 or over
Swan Club is for adults. The questionnaire asks your age before anything is stored, and answering under 18 ends it there. If we find that a member is under 18 we close the account and refund in full.
Price, and what happens on renewal
The Club is £49 a month, or £490 a year. The Circle is £99 a month, or £990 a year. You choose monthly or yearly on the order screen, and the price you see includes VAT.
It renews automatically — on the same date each month, or each year, at the same price — until you cancel. That is shown next to the order button before you pay, not only here, and you have to tick a box to accept it. We do not raise the price of an existing membership: if the published price changes, yours stays as you signed it until you choose otherwise.
Payment is taken by Whop, which handles the card and the receipt. We never see your card number.
Your 14-day cancellation right, and how to keep it
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you have fourteen days from the day after you join to cancel for any reason and get your money back. You do not have to give a reason.
There is one thing that ends that right early, and it is the box on the order screen. Because Swan Club is digital content delivered immediately, starting before the fourteen days are up means asking us to supply it now and accepting that the cancellation right goes with it. The box says both of those things in full, and it is not pre-ticked. Nothing is supplied and nothing is charged until you tick it.
If you would rather keep the full fourteen days, say so — write to us at contact@swan-club.com and we will set your access to open when the period ends, with the right intact. It is a slower start and it is entirely your choice.
To use the right within the fourteen days, write to contact@swan-club.com or cancel from your account. We refund within fourteen days of being told, by the same method you paid.
Cancelling, at any time
One click, from inside The Club, at any time and without writing to anybody. Cancelling stops the next payment; your access stays open until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not pro-rate a part-used month, and we do not make you phone anyone.
Cancellation is deliberately as easy as joining, because both the 2013 Regulations and the subscription rules of the 2024 Act require it to be. If it ever is not, that is a fault and you should tell us.
Your member number
You sign in with a member number, not a password. We store only a one-way hash of it, which means we genuinely cannot read it back — not for you, not for anyone. If you lose it we cannot resend it; we issue a new one and the old one stops working.
It is personal to you. Sharing it is the one thing that ends a membership without a refund, because a map that circulates is a map that stops being worth paying for.
What the rooms on the map are, and are not
Every room is a real place, at its address, with its hours. The night, the dress and the crowd are written from what is consistently and publicly known about it. Where nobody has yet been to a room on Swan Club's behalf, the page says so — in those words, on the room itself.
We do not run them. Opening hours change, dress codes change, members' clubs change their rules, and a racecourse enclosure can refuse you at the gate on a rule it publishes and we have summarised. Check before you travel, especially for anything with a written dress code. If something on the map is wrong, tell us and we will fix it or take it down.
We have no commercial relationship with any room on the map, we take nothing from them, and nothing is listed because somebody paid.
The mentor is a language model
On The Circle, the mentor you write to is an artificial intelligence, not a person. It says so if you ask, and it is saying so here. It is useful for rehearsing a first sentence, deciding what to wear and talking through an evening afterwards.
It is not a therapist, a doctor, a lawyer or a financial adviser, and it should not be used as one. If you are in difficulty, speak to someone qualified. In an emergency, call 999.
What is ours
The maps, the written rooms, the ritual and the playbook are ours. You can use them for your own evenings, obviously — that is what they are for. You cannot republish them, sell them, or feed them to a model.
Anything you write in the journal stays yours. We do not publish it and we do not use your photographs or your words in anything public without asking you first, each time.
If we end it
We can close an account for sharing a member number, for abusing the mentor, or for behaviour towards a room or its staff that we would not want associated with this. Otherwise we refund the unused part. We would rather refund someone than keep money from a membership that is not working.
Limits — and what cannot be limited
Swan Club tells you where to go and how to walk in. What happens after that is yours, and we are not responsible for your evenings, your conversations or your decisions.
What we do not limit, because the Consumer Rights Act 2015 does not allow it to be limited: the product has to be of satisfactory quality, fit for the purpose it is sold for, and as described on these pages. If it is not, you have statutory remedies — a repair, a price reduction or a refund — and nothing written here takes them away. We also do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, because that cannot be excluded either.
Complaints
Write to contact@swan-club.com. We answer, and we answer in plain words. If we cannot resolve it between us, you keep every route the law gives you — including your own courts here, which a choice of French law below does not take away from you.
Changes, and the law that applies
If we change these terms we will say so on this page and change the date at the top. A change that affects what you pay or what you get will be told to you before it applies, and you can cancel.
French law governs this contract, because that is where Swan Club is operated from. That does not reduce your rights: as a consumer habitually resident in the United Kingdom you keep the protection of British consumer law, and you can bring a claim in the courts here. We are saying this plainly rather than burying it, because a governing-law clause someone discovers late is a clause they will and should dispute.
